Dr Gonzalo Haro Cortés Lead researcher of the TXP Group on Mental Health and Addictions
Lecturer in Psychiatry on the Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and psychiatrist at the Consorcio Hospitalario Provincial in Castellón, Dr Gonzalo Haro is currently the chair of the national committee in Spain of the World Association on Dual Disorders. His most research within the field of dual disorders has concerned mental and emotional disorders linked to addictions, with several studies focusing on adolescents. This has included an analysis of personality traits of adolescents and parenting styles as potential risk factors for the development of drug addiction. He has also studied addiction to videogames amongst young people and its effects on emotional bonds and communication with their parents.
